Skills and Drills Clinic come to the
ArrowCreek Pickleball Club
On June18th, 2017, the ArrowCreek Pickleball club sponsored a new clinic called “Skills and Drills” for its members. The clinic was taught by Nick and Vicki Sharp. Plans are to continue these clinics every other Sunday, beginning at 9am. Both Nick and Vicki are our USAPA District Ambassadors for Nevada.
Nick and Vicki both are very high-level players and always seem to bring home the medals when they are in tournament play. They also teach in Reno at the Neil Road Community Center (NRCC) and at the Boys and Girls Club. Once a week, they offer Skills and Drills at the Senior Center and can have as many as 40 people show up to play on four courts.
They are offering the Skills and Drills to our club on every other Sunday with the understanding that there will not be more than 16 players participating in a clinic. This gives all of our players a chance to have individual coaching from Nick and Vicki.
On June 18th, they offered the first clinic “Serve, Return of Serve and the Drop shot.” The second clinic on July 2nd, will cover “Drops, Drives and Dinks”. The clinics are different each time and progressive so people can join in and learn new skills at each of the clinics but still be able to catch a clinic that they have missed when it repeats.
Cost is $10.00 for about an hour and half and some of the funds are donated back to the ArrowCreek Pickleball Club.
We can’t begin to thank Nick and Vicki enough for giving us this opportunity!
